Steven Q Davis MD

Dr. Steve Davis grew up in Fort Worth and is proud to be the third generation in his family to be involved with the Fort Worth medical community.

After graduating from Trinity Valley School, he attended Williams College and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Davis then spent eight years at the University of Chicago, where he completed a residency in Internal Medicine, a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine, and a Master's Degree in Clinical Health Studies. He also served as Chief Resident for his department.

He returned to Fort Worth in 2008 and spent six years with Texas Pulmonary before joining the faculty at JPS, serving as Medical Director of the ICU for three years and Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine for eight years. During this time, he completed two additional Master's degrees -- one in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and the other in Healthcare Economics from the London School of Economics -- to study how global healthcare economics intersect with patient care. Dr Davis rejoined Texas Pulmonary in 2026, and he is happy to be back with his new/old group!

Outside of the office, he enjoys completing crossword puzzles, competing in crossword puzzle tournaments, playing the tenor saxophone, cooking, and planning international travel adventures for family and friends.
